It was my good friend's birthday last week, and a few of us headed downtown to celebrate. We went to a beautiful part of Sydney known as "The Rocks" where we were able to grab a table at a great little Italian place called "Zia Pina".. It's a nice restaurant, and it doesn't feel like you're in Sydney when you step inside.. The atmosphere feels like New York, I think..
After eating a bunch of different gourmet pizzas, we took a walk to the famous Sydney Opera house.. But first we stopped at the Guylian chocolate cafe. The hot chocolate there was alright, but I've had better.. Either way, the setting was wonderful..

I love the architecture on this building.. It really never gets old to visit. It looks gorgeous every single time.
The bridge, not to be outdone by the Opera House, is constantly illuminated |
As all nights do, this one concluded. We all said "good-bye" to the Opera house and walked back to our cars.. My girlfriend and I drove home sleepily, and all the passing lights of the M2 motorway seemed to be one long line of white and red lights.. My eye-lids like a camera shutter staying open gave the whole drive an over exposed photo sort of feeling. But the night was good.
