I'm re-watching the mini series Band of Brothers, and seriously it is unbelievable. It seems to so aptly capture the environment of what it must be like to be at war, to lose your friends daily, the dirt and the grime of it all, and somehow translate it through the tv. Of course it could never fully communicate the horrendous things that people went through, but I think it does a great job of making today's very comfortable culture somewhat more aware of the things that went on, and hopefully the response is appreciation.
