It's winter here in Australia, and I'm starting to feel the itch. That's right, skiers itch. No, I'm not talking about the itch you get from wearing snow pants for an extended period of time.. I'm talking about the need to hit the slopes - to feel the cold air smack your cheeks, to experience the sensation, exhilaration of rushing down a steep hill on nothing but two long pieces of plastic under your feet. I'm talking about skiing itself. This all reminds me of being on my high school's skiing team - going out to the hill after school, practising race technique and then skiing for the rest of the night. That just doesn't exist in Aus... Skiing - the major benefit to a Canadian winter.
